Research Notes on Radon
Radon (chemical symbol Rn) is radioactive gas which is found in soils, rocks, and water throughout the U.S.1 It tends to collect in homes, sometimes to very high concentrations.1 A passive monitoring device known as an Electret-Passive Environment Radon Monitor (E-PERM) is used to collect and to measure the ionized particles produced by radon gas.2
