Research Notes on Vitamin B6
Pyridoxine is also known as vitamin B6 is important in the breakdown of fats, protein and carbohydrates . Certain medical conditions and medications can cause pyridoxine deficiency. Anti-tubercular drugs such as Isoniazid and Pyrazinamide increase the risk of developing vitamin B6 deficiency. Supplemental dose of vitamin B6 is available in oral and injectable form can reverse the deficiency and prevent complications.
