Research Notes on Pustular Psoriasis Diagnosis
Pustular psoriasis is one of the five main types of psoriasis. A physical exam, medical history, blood tests, urine tests, and biopsies are performed to diagnose pustular psoriasis. Skin symptoms associated with pustular psoriasis include raised bumps that are filled with pustules (pus) and reddened areas around the affected area.1

- Pustular psoriasis is rare, affecting boys more than girls.1
- Blood tests include complete blood count (CBC), erythrocyte sedimentation rate, serum chemistry, and blood cultures.2
- Topical therapy, phototherapy, and systemic agents are the most common treatments.2
