Smoking may damage the body's immune system increasing the risk of developing psoriasis.1 Cigarette smoking can also increase psoriasis symptoms such as red patches on the skin, itching, and dry skin.2 Psoriasis is not life threating, however it is a lifelong disease among both men and women. 3
