Research Notes on Psoriasis Symptoms
Symptoms of psoriasis vary from person to person. Generally it appears as red or pink areas of raised, thickened, and dry skin. Psoriasis usually affects areas over the elbows, knees, and scalp.1

- Psoriasis can be a few spots of dandruff-like scaling, or large eruptions which cover large areas.2
- Plaque psoriasis, nail psoriasis, scalp psoriasis, guttate psoriasis, inverse psoriasis, pustular psoriasis, erythrodermic psoriasis, and psoriatic arthritis are different types of psoriasis.2
- Most psoriasis types cycle, flaring for short time, then subside, sometimes going into complete remission.2
