Research Notes on Psoriasis Scales
Psoriasis scales are the main symptom of the most common type of psoriasis, plaque psoriasis. These scales of skin, or plaques, are the result of an abnormally rapid rate of growth of skin cells. They appear on the skin as scaly, red patches of skin covered with a white buildup of dead skin cells.1
