Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant, and is used for the relief of nasal congestion. It is commonly found in over-the-counter medications in combination with antihistamines. It was prominently marketed by Pfizer in Sudafed. Due to the increased use of pseudoephedrine in the manufacturing of methamphetamine, the use of it is being phased out in some countries.
