Research Notes on Prostate Biopsy
A prostate biopsy is a process in which tissue is removed from the prostate to be examined.1 It is usually performed after preliminary testing reveals high levels of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) or a lump in the prostate.1 This procedure can determine if a patient has prostate cancer.2
