Research Notes on Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis
No one knows what causes this disease, which blocks the bile ducts and can cause liver failure if left untreated. It usually develops after age 30, with symptoms including itching, fatigue and jaundice. Treatments can include surgery and liver transplantation.
