Research Notes on Presbyopia
Presbyopia is an eye condition in which people have difficulty reading fine print at close distances. This is caused by the normal aging process. It is also referred to as "short arm syndrome" due to pushing away small print to an arms length in order to read it. This condition usually begins at about the age of 40, when the eye lens begins to have difficulty changing its focus distance.
