Research Notes on Pre-Diabetes
Pre-diabetes is a condition that almost always happens before developing type 2 diabetes. It is a condition where the blood sugar level is higher than normal, but not yet type 2 diabetes. Pre-diabetes is a condition thought to be a precursor of adult-onset diabetes mellitus, marked by carbohydrate intolerance or other symptoms of the disease. With pre-diabetes, you have a hereditary tendency or high probability for developing diabetes, although neither symptoms nor test results confirm the presence of the disease.
