Porencephalic Cysts

Porencephaly is a very rare neurological disorder characterized by the development of a cyst or a cerebrospinal fluid-filled cavity in the brain. Damage inflicted by a stroke and infection after birth are the common causes of this condition. Symptoms of porencephaly may include delayed growth and development, spastic hemiplegia (slight or incomplete paralysis), hypotonia (low muscle tone) and seizures.
