American Association of Poison Control Centers (AAPCC) is staffed with toxicology specialists, in the form of nurses, pharmacists, physicians and poison information providers.1 They offer immediate assistance, instruction and information to manage potential poisoning situations.1 In addition, the general public is invited to utilize the help line to question the proper handling and management of household products, medications, bites, stings and carbon monoxide, amongst other things.1
