Research Notes on Pituitary MRI
Pituitary MRI consists of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the pituitary gland.1 A powerful magnetic field is used to create intricate images of the head, including the pituitary gland.1 The highly-detailed images allow a physician to evaluate and distinguish healthy gland tissue from diseased gland tissue.1 Pituitary MRI provides a detailed study so any potential concerns can be found.1
