Research Notes on Pilonidal Dimple
A pilonidal dimple ( also referred to as a sacral dimple) is a small hole, or pit at the base of the tailbone. This may be a shallow dimple, or it may be a deep tract that can become infected and drain. The majority are minor and harmless. One rare occasions they can become infected and require surgery.
