Research Notes on Physical Activity Among Immigrant Children Low


Federal government researchers have analyzed data from the National Survey of Children's Health and found that immigrant children are less active and less likely to participate in sports than children born in the United States. The study also revealed that immigrant children were less likely to watch three or more hours of television a day. Health programs should be targeting children from not only socially disadvantaged households but children in immigrant families.
