Research Notes on Photos of E. Coli Bacteria
Escherichia coli bacteria (or E. coli bacteria) is about one-hundredth the size of a human cell (maybe a micron long and one-tenth of a micron wide), so it is invisible without a microscope. It is commonly found in the lower intestine of humans and animals. It can cause gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections, and neonatal meningitis.1
