Phendimetrazine is a weight loss medication that is considered a controlled substance in the United States.1 Phendimetrazine works by decreasing the appetite and is used with a reduced calorie diet and exercise plan.2 Common side effects include dry mouth, nausea, headache, difficulty sleeping and constipation or diarrhea.3
