Pertofrane is the generic name for the drug Desipramine. It's an antidepressant and mood stabilizer.1 Its purpose is to treat the symptoms of a mental breakdown or depression.2 Common side effects include: drowsiness or dizziness, nausea, dry mouth, and headaches.1
