Research Notes on Persistent Pain After Knee Replacement Surgery
One of the many possible complications of knee replacement surgery is persistent pain. This pain may be due to a hematoma (blood clot) that formed within the joint. Infection can also cause persistent pain in the knee joint. Other causes of persistent pain in the knee after surgery are instability, compression of soft tissues and incorrect diagnosis.
