Pediatric cardiomyopathy is a rare heart disease that affects infants and children.1 According to the Pediatric Cardiomyopathy Registry, pediatric cardiomyopathy affects one in every 100,000 children in the U.S. under the age of 18.2 Causes are not well established because there has been little research and focus on pediatric cardiomyopathy over the years.3
