Research Notes on Peanuts
Despite their name, peanuts are in the legume family rather than a true nut. They give around 30 grams of protein per cup. Peanut oil is a healthy type of fat, monounsaturated fat, which is good for skin health. The folic acid in legumes like peanuts is a natural mood booster. Plumpy'nut is an example of a nutritious peanut-based food that is used for starving and malnourished children.
