Research Notes on Peanut Butter Diet
The Peanut Butter Diet is a new diet program using peanut butter as part of everyday meals. Dieters are allowed to eat 4-6 tablespoons of peanut butter a day and still are able to achieve weight loss. Research shows that people who eat peanuts or peanut butter on a daily basis are better able to meet the recommended daily allowance (RDA) for vitamins and nutrients than those who didn't.

- Peanut butter was concocted in 1890 by Dr. John Kellogg.1
- It is not recommended for those allergic to peanuts.2
- Many people find it easy to maintain this diet over a longer periods of time.3
