Research Notes on Paget's Disease of the Nipple

Paget's disease of the nipple is a rare type of cancer that occurs in or around the nipple. It may appear as an eczematous plaque that spreads throughout the areola and it indicates an underlying breast cancer. Treatment for this breast cancer type is mastectomy which is a safer approach than just removing the areola as an invasive breast carcinoma is often likely to be present beyond the nipple area.
