Research Notes on PMDD Natural Treatments
There are a number of natural treatments available to premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) sufferers.1 Exercise and a healthy diet are good ways to treat PMDD.1 Dietary supplements such as vitamin B6, calcium and magnesium may also help relieve PMDD symptoms.2 Be sure to get plenty of sleep; eight hours is recommended by the Office on Women's Health.3 If you smoke, consider quitting.3

- PMDD is a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
- PMDD affects three to eight percent of menstruating women.2
- The symptoms of PMDD are similar to PMS, only they are severe enough to interfere with day to day activities.
