Research Notes on Obesity
Obesity is a condition in which the body has too much body fat. Obesity is defined by a BMI of 30 or above. People in the United States and other developed nations are increasingly obese, putting them at increasing risk for type 2 diabetes and other conditions. Researchers are still struggling to understand why some people get fat and why obesity appears to run in families.
