Research Notes on Overactive Bladder Risk Factors
Overactive bladder (also called urinary incontinence) risk factors include obesity, smoking, vascular disease, and certain other medical conditions. Women are more likely to have an overactive bladder than men. Also, aging can cause the bladder muscles to weaken, which can lead to overactive bladder.1

- People who participate in heavy exercise are at a higher risk of having an overactive bladder.2
