Research Notes on Organ Donation Ethics
Organ donation involves the giving of healthy organs and tissues such as blood, heart, and kidney by a person (donor). Most cultural and religious ethics recognize organ donation as an act of charity, and is encouraged among their followers. Although organ transplantation is a life saving procedure, it is being opposed by certain groups because of moral, cultural, and religious barriers. Such being the case, the decision is left to the person requiring the organ transplant.
