Open Angle Glaucoma

Research Notes on Open Angle Glaucoma

Primary open angle glaucoma -- also called chronic glaucoma -- is the most common form of glaucoma, affecting about three million Americans. The inner eye pressure rises because the correct amount of fluid can’t drain out of the eye. Most people have no early warning signs of open angle glaucoma; if it is not diagnosed and treated, it can cause loss of vision.
