Research Notes on Onchocerciasis
Onchocerciasis is an eye and skin disease caused by the filarial parasitic worm Onchocerca volvulus. It is transmitted to humans through the bite of the blackfly. This disease, also known as river blindness, has been prevalent in West Africa.
