Research Notes on Obesity and Exercise
If you are obese, talk to your health care provider about strategies to lose weight and which exercises you should be engaging in. You will want to start out slowly and gain stamina as you continue.1 While it is recommend that you get between 30 and 60 minutes of exercise each day, it is okay to break workouts up into a couple of 10 or 15 minute increments.2
Fast Facts:
- It may be useful to find a friend to exercise with for motivation.1
- Let your body rest if you become injured or sick.1
