North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System (NSLIJHS) is a non-profit health system, one of the largest in the United States.1 Comprised of 15 member hospitals and additional facilities, NSLIJHS serves Long Island, Queens and Staten Island in the state of New York.2
Fast Facts:
- Headquarters are located in Great Neck, New York.
- Two of the member hospitals, North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, serve as academic campuses for the NYU School of Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
- Largest employer on Long Island and the 9th largest employer in the city of New York.2
- Three hospitals, North Shore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center, and Huntington Hospital are the only hospitals achieving Magnet designation on Long Island.3
