Oncology is a branch of health science that specializes in the study of cancer. It also deals with the diagnosis, different methods of treatment (such as chemotherapy, radiation and use of other modalities), patient care, ethical issues and the epidemiology of diseases caused by cancer. The doctor specializing in this field of medicine is called an Oncologist.
