Our Guides and Physician Review team have organized the Top 10 Health Resources on Natural Family Planning and compiled helpful research notes below.
Natural family planning refers to various methods used to plan or prevent pregnancy, based on identifying the fertile days of a menstrual cycle. For all natural methods, avoiding sexual intercourse on the fertile days is what prevents pregnancy. This method is especially popular with individuals who ethically do not support hormonal forms of birth control and for those who have adverse reactions to medical forms of hormonal treatments. This method does not protect against sexually transmitted disease.
