Research Notes on Nadolol and Pregnancy
Nadolol use in pregnancy is not recommended. Animal studies have found adverse effects on the unborn baby. Currently, there have been no adequate studies performed on pregnant women. If you are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant, be sure to tell your doctor before starting nadolol.1 Fast Facts:
- The FDA has given nadolol a pregnancy category C rating.2
- Doctors prescribe nadolol to treat high blood pressure, migraine headaches, and chest pain.3
- Nadolol is in a class of drugs called beta-blockers.3
- Nadolol is sold under the brand name Corgard.3
