Research Notes on Nadolol Interactions
Nadolol interactions include diltiazem (Cardizem, Tiazac, Dilacor XR), verapamil (Calan, Isoptin, Verelan, Covera), amiodarone (Cordarone), or digoxin (Lanoxin). Complete block of the heart's electrical system can occur if taking these drugs in combination with nadolol. NSAIDs can lessen the blood pressure lowering effects of beta blockers; therefore, these drugs should be used with caution. People with diabetes should be careful if taking nadolol, as it can mask low blood sugar symptoms. Fast Facts:
- Nadolol is a prescription drug used to treat high blood pressure, migraine headaches, and chest pain.1
- Nadolol is sold under the brand name Corgard.1
- Side effects most often reported are decreased heart rate, fatigue, and dizziness.2
