Research Notes on NYU Medical Center
NYU Medical Center is located at 550 First Avenue in New York City, New York. It was formed initially as University Medical College in 1841.1 By 1898 University Medical College combined with Bellevue Hospital Medical College and formed University and Bellevue Hospital Medical College.1 New York University College of Medicine was the new name in 1935 and finally the name was changed to New York University School of Medicine in 1960.1 Today NYU Medical Center also operates Tisch Hospital, Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine and Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute.
