Mycophenolate is in an immunosuppressive medication utilized to prevent organ rejection in transplant patients.1 It's main function is to weaken the body's immune system so it does not attack and reject the transplanted organ.2 While being treated with mycophenolate, it may increase the chance of getting other infections.1 It is best to avoid contact with people with colds or other infections while on this medication.
