  • Common symptoms are trouble with facial expression, swallowing, eye and eyelid movement, and it may affect the muscles of the head
  • MG is muscle weakness that increases during activity and improves after rest
  • Medicine can help improve nerve-to-muscle messages and make muscles stronger, surgery may be required to take out the thymus gland
  • Most people with MG can expect to live normal or nearly normal lives
