Research Notes on Music Therapy for Attention Deficit Disorder
Music therapy has been shown to help improve the symptoms of attention deficit disorder (medically referred to as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or ADHD). Through music, people with attention deficit disorder can gain self esteem, exhibit fewer negative behaviors, relieve stress and anxiety, and improve communication. Music therapy can be provided at numerous locations such as day care centers, schools, hospitals, mental health centers, private homes, and private practices.1
