Research Notes on Muscles
The human body has three types of muscles; skeletal, smooth, and cardiac. Skeletal muscles contract to move the parts of the body. Smooth muscles control some of the bodily functions. Cardiac muscles are used to pump blood out of the heart and relax to allow blood to flow back in.1
