Research Notes on Multiple Sclerosis and Osteoporosis
Patients with multiple sclerosis can be at an increased risk for osteoporosis. Multiple sclerosis often leads to a lifestyle which comes with minimal physical activity, lack of weight bearing exercise, and the use of steroid medications, which increase the risk of osteoporosis.1
