Mulibrey nanism is a rare genetic disorder. It is characterized by delays in growth and abnormalities of the muscles, liver, brain, and eyes. Mulibrey is derived from MUscle, LIver, BRain, and EYes, whereas nanism is another term for dwarfism.1

Fast Facts:

  • Some infants may have yellow discoloration of the eyes and an abnormally large liver.1
  • Associated with an abnormality in the TRIM37 gene, which is responsible for developmental patterning and oncogenesis.2
  • This disorder is an autosomal recessive trait.2
