Research Notes on Mood Swings
A mood swing is characterized by a rapid change in mood.1 It is commonly associated with mood disorders such as bipolar disorder.1 Mood swings are often seen in association with other medical conditions like pregnancy.2 Mood swings can be triggered by a number of factors including stress, fatigue, and significant changes in hormone levels.2 If mood swings are having a big impact on everyday living, professional help should be sought.
