Mold allergies are a significant cause of allergic rhinitis. Since mold can grow both indoors and outdoors and in many kinds of weather, it can be a chronic problem for sufferers. Symptoms of a mold allergy include wheezing, itchy or watery eyes, hives, a rash, or a stuffy or runny nose. Avoid foods such as breads and other foods made with yeast, cheeses, mushrooms, or any other type of food that can grow mold. Avoiding moldy environments is another way to prevent symptoms.
