Research Notes on Miscarriage Signs
Signs of a miscarriage usually involve bleeding accompanied by abdominal cramps. Bleeding may be light spotting or heavy, with clots. Abdominal cramping or pain may start within hours or days of the onset of bleeding. Pain may also be felt in the genitals, thighs, buttocks and lower back.1

- Some women also experience fever, weakness or vomiting.1
