Minimally Invasive Surgery for Male Infertility

Research Notes on Minimally Invasive Surgery for Male Infertility

Swollen veins or varicoceles that appear in a man's scrotum may no longer be an infertility problem. Due to the decreased blood flow to the testes, varicoceles are a common cause of male infertility. Now men can have a procedure done called retrograde venous embolization which blocks excessive blood flow to these veins which causes them to shrink back to regular size.
