Mini Facelift Bruising

Research Notes on Mini Facelift Bruising

A mini-facelift is an outpatient surgical procedure that rejuvenates the bottom third of the face as well as the jowls and neck. Advantages of a mini-facelift are a) same-day results, b) minimum downtime, c) very little bruising or swelling, d) lower cost than a full facelift, and e) no general anesthesia or hospitalization. Patients who have had a mini facelift may experience bruising and swelling during the first few days. Surgeons are taking special measures such as the application of a fibrin sealant and using loose bandages so as to decrease the amount of swelling and bruising.
