Research Notes on Mini Facelift
The mini facelift -- or mid facelift -- is a cosmetic surgery procedure that focuses on specific areas of the face, such as the neck, mid-face, and the folds of the nose.1 The mini facelift is sometimes called a weekend facelift due to how quickly it can be performed and the short recovery period.1 This lift repositions the skin and soft tissues of the face that have been affected by the aging process.2 Unlike a traditional facelift, a mini facelift does not affect the forehead or brow.1
Fast Facts:
- A mini facelift will generally take one to two hours.3
- The patient may need to stay in the hospital overnight or may be able to return home the day of the procedure.4
- Recovery will usually take about one week.3
