Research Notes on Migraine Prevention
There are several methods you may want to investigate when trying to prevent a migraine headache.1 If you suffer from migraines on a regular basis, you may consider medications used to prevent a migraine. These medicines include propranolol, timolol, topiramate and divalproex sodium. There may be othes available, however they are not all FDA approved for migraine prevention.2

- Identify migraine triggers by keeping a migraine diary and avoid these known triggers.3
- Developing an aerobic exercise regimen can be beneficial in preventing migraines.1
- Some migraine suffers prefer supplements to aid in preventing migraines.4
- Eating a healthy diet that is low in fat, and avoiding processed foods may help prevent migraines for some.4
